I'm Alys and I'm a harpist based in Bangor! I've recently finished my Masters degree at Bangor University. I've been playing professionally for the past 3 years, but I actually started playing 12 years ago - since then I've played at weddings, christenings, parties and as part of orchestras, small strings groups and harp ensembles (one of which I went to Abbey Road with!). I am of the firm opinion that even the music on your special day should reflect you as a couple, so I will always try my best to provide that! I'll have a go at any genre - it isn't always possible to play everything but I'll always give everything a good go.

What does your wedding package include?
Included in every price is one custom piece - a piece or song that reflects you both as a couple, free of charge. It's important to me that every couple has music that reflects them and I hope that this is one way of making your ceremony that little bit more special.
How much does it cost to hire your services?
£350 - Wedding Ceremony and Reception (including background music as people arrive for the ceremony)
£450 - Reception and Wedding Breakfast
£550 - Wedding Ceremony, Reception and Wedding Breakfast
What locations do you cover?
I'll travel pretty much anywhere - I've gone as far as Cardiff for a Wedding before! I charge mileage for anywhere over 100 miles journey, so local weddings to Bangor (such as Llandudno, Anglesey, Caernarfon) wouldn't be charged any additional mileage costs. For weddings over 100 miles return journey, mileage is charged at 45p per mile.
What equipment do you use?
It's just me and my harp! For outdoor weddings I have a pickup microphone installed in the harp with an amp - a power supply may be needed if you would like me to play outdoors.
What makes you stand out from the competition?
As a Welsh speaker I have a love for Welsh music, and that really is my speciality! I really will give anything a go, and truly believe that music can make the day that bit more special.
